Bebe Betz Babst

Bebe Betz Babst was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended Academy of the Sacred Heart and graduated from LSU. After college she was a flight attendant and flew internationally with Pan Am. She worked for local flagship departments stores as a buyer and began a personal shopping service for DH Holmes. In 1989, Bebe became a licensed Realtor and as been with the same broker for over 28 years. She currently leads a team of four agents serving buyers and sellers on the Northshore. Serving the community has always been an important part of Bebe's life. She is currently a volunteer Docent with the New Orleans Museum of Art, an oblate at St. Joseph Abbey, and an active parishioner at Mary Queen of Peach Catholic Church. On every third Sunday of the month, you'll find Bebe and Walter at Christ Church in Covington enjoying the Third Sunday Concert Series.

Walter M. Babst

As a graduate of Jesuit High School, Walter learned early on what it meant to be a "man for others." While his earlier careers spanned from law and business, he ultimately put this background to work in partnership with his wife Bebe, joining the Gardner, Realtors family over 18 years ago. During that time he has served on the board of Northshore Area Board of Realtors (NABOR), including membership of the Professional Standards and awards committee. In 2003 when the LREC formed a task force to adopt a new property disclosure, he stepped forward with his legal and real estate expertise and researched the practices of over 20 states. Always willing to answer the call to serve his community, he was Chairman of the Board for the West St Tammany YMCA and chaired a house build for Habitat for Humanity, while continuing to volunteer on many others to this day. As a charter member of the St Tammany Woodworkers Guild, you will see him on the bank of the Tchefuncte River every October building wooden boats for children going back so many years, that some "boat builders" now have children of their own. An avid supporter of the arts, Walter has built sets for numerous non-profit theatre groups in Mandeville and Covington, and he continues to support performing arts in the area through active participation with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and a patron of Christ Church in Covington's Third Sunday Concert Series. Inspired deeply by his faith, he has served in leadership rolls with former parishes, and volunteers his time as a lector and legal expertise in Church ministry today. And his tireless efforts over the years on behalf of his alma mater, earned him the Notre Dame Club of New Orleans Man of the Year award. The Blood Bank calls? He rolls up his sleeve. The church needs food for their complimentary monthly reception? He dons an apron. And as anyone who has ever worked with him will attest, he 's always willing to lend a hand, earning him the Mandeville-Covington branch Spirit award multiple times over the years. Walter is happiest when he's helping someone else, and this ethos transmits through his family's work helping hundreds of satisfied clients over the years with their real estate needs.

Frank Saxton II

Born and raised on a working farm in Oklahoma City, Frank learned early on the value of land and home ownership. He attended public schools in his small town of Harrah, Oklahoma and graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in Business. Intrigued by a mid-cycle US Senate race, Frank volunteered his time helping with the campaign of Jim Inhofe, criss-crossing the state of Oklahoma. A short time later he was working on important legislative issues concerning national defense among others, and earned a Masters in National Security & Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. Fast-forward a few years and Frank was appointed to an advisory position at the US Department of Homeland Security which required a top-secret clearance. After a number of years of service at those senior levels of government, Frank and his wife Ginny, a native of Louisiana, decided to make a new start on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain where they could be closer to family and hoped to start a family of their own. Following three years in homeland security research at Louisiana State University, Frank decided to bring his focus closer to home working on urban planning projects that were needed following Hurricanes Katrina & Rita, through a position with the Northshore Community Foundation. He became accredited by the Congress for the New Urbanism, and worked alongside some of the nation's premier planners from Andres Duany to Joseph Kohl on projects from Mandeville to Hammond. Frank became a licensed Realtor® in 2012, joining Gardner, Realtors, as a team member with his wife Ginny and her parents Bebe & Walter Babst. He is the proud father of three children and an active parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Ginny Babst Saxton

Ginny was raised in a home where real estate was an everyday part of life. Her mom, Bebe, starting actively selling real estate after their family moved to Mandeville in 1986 - a move that, as a child, Ginny didn't understand, but looking back, she realizes was the best thing her parents could have done for her. She attended public schools in Mandeville before going away to the Louisiana School for Math, Science & the Arts.  She was able to attend University of Notre Dame and graduated with a degree in Economics. She and her college friends headed to DC after graduation where she started working in fundraising, ultimately working at the Republican National Committee during the 2000 election cycle. Upon her return from a dispatch to Florida during the historic recount, she was engaged to Frank Saxton, and married in 2001. Frank & Ginny both worked for the administration of George W. Bush, including time at the US Department of Education and the White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel. During her time in DC she also earned a Masters in Education from Loyola College in Maryland. As they looked ahead, Ginny and her husband decided a move back to Louisiana might be the right direction in order for them to settle-down long term and start a family. A brief 6 months after their move, Hurricane Katrina devastated much of the Gulf Coast. Ginny was asked to serve as the scheduler to Vice Admiral Thad Allen, USCG, in his role as Principal Federal Official in the months that followed. Flying over the her beloved New Orleans with the Admiral gave her a new appreciation for being home. The real estate market went through major changes following the storm and the family business came calling. She was licensed in 2007, and joined Bebe & Walter at Gardner, Realtors. Her prayers for a family were answered and she is now the mom to three precious children. Their family is actively involved in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
